People with no experience can go horseback riding in Pátio do Tejo, our horses are calm and trained to ride with people who have never ridden before.

We suggest that you bring comfortable clothing. We do not recommend the use of flip flops, dresses and skirts.

If the weather conditions are not favorable, the activities will be canceled and you will have the option of rescheduling or converting the value into a voucher valid for 1 year from the date of the first reservation.

At Pátio do Tejo, we take care of safety, so galloping is only allowed under the following conditions:

In the riding arena, before starting the walk to the beach, an assessment is carried out by the guide;

Horses are selected by the equestrian team and will be allocated according to various factors such as height, weight and riding experience.

The horseback ride on the beach (group or private) lasts approximately 1H30. The time is calculated by the pre-established route and the average of the activity. The route is always the same, so there is no possibility of changing the time.

At Pátio do Tejo we ensure safety, only one person per horse is allowed. For children under the age of 12, we recommend the equestrian baptism activity. It lasts 30 minutes and takes place in the Pátio do Tejo riding arena.

Yes, the entire tour is accompanied by a guide or more depending on the number of participants.

Yes, you can bring your cell phone and take pictures. However, we are not responsible if it falls or suffers an incident during the tour. If you are interested in obtaining a record, you can opt for the additional service of photographic reporting. The photographer will capture the whole experience and send it in a file with the photographic report in digital format. A memory with numerous photographs of a unique moment.

All experiences carried out by Pátio do Tejo include: Necessary equestrian material, qualified professionals, use of the space, lockers, coffee, sunscreen and mosquito repellent.

In the case of the group tour, it also includes a briefing in the riding arena to receive the initial instructions and 1h30 to enjoy your tour between the farm and the beach.

At Pátio do Tejo we have riding rings for loan, but their use is not mandatory, being the responsibility of the participants to request them if they wish.

At Pátio do Tejo we plan and provide schedules for the whole year, managing to book well in advance. We recommend all interested parties to book their experience as soon as possible to ensure the desired availability. We do tours every month of the year and every day of the week. The months of May, June, July and August are periods with a high occupancy rate and consequently with little availability, if you wish, we advise you to book as soon as possible.
